Middle School

  Middle School
Confirmation is a sacred right where one affirms their Christian belief and is welcomed as “a full member” into their church.  Confirmation is an affirmation and public declaration of faith!  It means that a student takes on the responsibilities of the promises made by adults at their baptism.  Confirmation is a process.

At St. Paul's our Confirmation process is a three year ministry specifically tailored for middle school students in 6th through 8th grade.
On the second and fourth Wednesday of each month during the school year middle school students and adult mentors gather to engage in intentional community and to teach and share about faith traditions, faith practices and faith life as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Confirmation is a milestones in the life of faith and we hope and encourage participation in the life of faith at St. Paul’s.

If you or someone you know is interested in Confirmation please contact Youth@GROWwithJesus.org.
Retreats and Confirmation Camp
Middle School students at St. Paul's participate with other churches from Delaware and Maryland in retreats and camp each year.

Free Ride is a weekend of service projects, faith-filled discussions, and relationship-building in small groups.  Free Ride takes place in October each year at North bay Retreat and Conference Center.

Transformers is a leadership retreat that takes place each spring.  Students are invited, by their confirmation leaders, to attend this event in their 6th and/or 8th grade year.

Confirmation Camp is for students participating in confiramtion.  Students are invited to spend one week of summer learning, having fun and growing in faith.  Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp and Retreat Center is an outdoor ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and hosts Confirmation Camp.
